Museum of London focuses on London's history, archaeology and culture. This year's workshops focus on the traditions and history of a Victorian Christmas:

• How Dickens Invented Christmas, Fri 4 Dec
  We're all looking forward to Disney's A Christmas Carol in London and now you can find out how many of the traditions we associate with Christmas were first made popular by the work of Charles Dickens
• Victorian Christmas, 12 Dec
  A festive walk examining Christmas traditions which were introduced by the Victorians, such as Christmas trees and cards. £8

Workshops at Museum of London Docklands

Nurture your child's creative side with these crafty Christmas workshops at Museum of London Docklands:

• Christmas Pomanders, 28 & 30 Dec
  Make a Christmas pomander to scent your wardrobe or to use as a Christmas decoration. Use spices and fruit which were once brought into London's docks to make the pomander
• Father Christmas Comes to Docklands, 19 Dec
  Father Christmas is taking time off from his festive preparations to pop into the museum for a chat
• Victorian Trinkets, 28 and 30 Dec
  Make your own Victorian trinket in this workshop specially for 2 to 5 year olds and their carers

The Geffrye Museum

The Geffrye Museum puts on its Christmas Past Exhibition every year, including children's events such as:
