Multi award-winning director Richard Jones revives Irving Berlin's much-loved musical, Annie Get Your Gun this autumn at London's Young Vic.

Annie Get Your Gun is known for its fantastic musical score, which features hits such as:

  • There's No Business Like Show Business
  • Doin' What Comes Naturally
  • I Got Lost in his Arms
  • Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better
  • The Girl That I Marry

The timeless musical was created by legendary songwriter Irving Berlin and is based on the book by Herbert and Dorothy Fields.

Star Cast: Jane Horrocks and Julian Ovenden

Celebrated star of Little Voice, Jane Horrocks, brings her fantastic singing talent to the famous role of the rough-and ready Annie Oakley.

Julian Ovenden plays Frank Butler – the sharpest sharpshooter in the West. Ovenden's credits include Merrily We Roll Along, Marguerite and TV's BAFTA-nominated mini-series Foyle's War.

Other cast members announced so far include Buffy Davis, John Marquez, Liza Sadovy and Eric MacLennan.

The Story of Annie Get Your Gun

Sharpshooter Frank is the pin-up of Buffalo Bill's travelling Wild West Show. He soon meets his match in the form of feisty tomboy Annie.

Romantic sparks fly but their competitive natures threaten to disrupt the course of true love.

Annie Get Your Gun Behind the Scenes: Director Richard Jones

Renowned director Richard Jones directed Titanic on Broadway, the London premiere of Into the Woods, plus countless operas in major houses all over Europe.

Jones has worked at the Young Vic before, his credits include:

  • The sell-out production of Brecht's The Good Soul of Szechuan (with Jane Horrocks)
  • Six Characters Looking for an Author
  • Hobson's Choice

Jones has won several Olivier Awards for productions including Hansel and Gretel, Too Clever by Half and The Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk (Royal Opera House).
