The Fat Tire Bike Tour in London was definitely a highlight of my trip. Whether you've been to London before or not, it's still a great way to see the city and the main attractions. In fact, there was a man on our tour that had been living in London for years and still thoroughly enjoyed the trip. I, myself, had already once visited London and seen the majority of the sites too, but the tour was a completely different experience. I can't think of a more fun and exciting way to tour the city. It most definitely beats navigating the tube system! Aside from getting the chance to see Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and Trafalgars (the list goes on...) our tour guide and his impressive knowledge really made the afternoon worthwhile. Our guide was extremely friendly, informative, and open to our ideas (which spots we wanted to stop at for pictures, whether we wanted to make a pub stop, etc.). Best of all, he shared random facts and tidbits that you never would have known otherwise (I believe Churchill's hilarious witticisms were among my favorite things David shared). All in all, it was a great way to spend the afternoon, see the city, and expand our London history knowledge! I would have to say my only complaint would have to be not getting the "Victoria Beckham" bike! (The bikes are named and Victoria's was already taken). The rest of the afternoon definitely made up for it though!

This was the best way to see London in a fun, fresh, and meaningful way. The guides were friendly and intelligent; the tour they outlined allowed for our group to see the major tourist sites and the green parks of London in just a few hours. Our tour broke for a lunch hour where we had the opportunity to eat Shepherd's Pie next to Trafalgar Square. I highly recommend it as a fun, relaxed day activity while in London!

If you have half a day up your sleeve and want to see London without battling undregrounds and manic bus drivers - then this little beauty of a ride is for you!

The Fat Tire team meet and greet at the Queensway Underground station and from there it's few minutes to the bikes and departure point.

What's particularly great is the bike seats are whopping in size so super comfy and don't leave you feeling like you have sat on a steel twig for 4 hours. The bikes themselves are what my folks would call a "sit up and beg" frame, so great for cruising around and not feeling like your neck is cranked at odd angles while taking in all the scenes.

The guide we had for one Saturday afternoon was American-born and full of quirky and really interesting facts. I've lived in London for over 3 years can say my knowledge on icons, monuments and famous landmarks was pathetic compared to our Head Biker. What's particulary great about the entire 4 hours is the cycling is sedated and takes you through many of London's royal parks.

A brilliant way to get out and about , soak up some sun and see London!
