Griffin House Holiday Apartments

We stayed for 6 nights together with our two 12 years old daughters in the garden apartment. The apartment was spacious and very clean, connected to a surprisingly large garden. We had there everything we needed including a fully equipped kitchen so we could have breakfast and sometimes dinner in the apartment. The neighborhood is not exciting as the center of London but is quiet. The Tube is about 10 minutes walk (we learned that in London 5 minutes are 10 and 10 are 15 especially if you are with children) from the apartment. It takes about 20 minutes by Tube to get to the center of the city. a significant additional upside is a bakery situated minutes from the apartment where we bought pastries for breakfast.

Griffin House is targeted at providing good accommodation to gays as their web site says however they welcome (really welcome!) everyone disregarding their sexual preferences. On arrival Ben's welcome was warm and friendly something you will not get at most hotels you may choose to go to.

We support the number one ranking of Griffin House, we will be back when we visit London again and say to Ben & Nick - continue to host as you do!

This is one place I will go back too. It was a present for my birthday from my two friends. We were on a girls weekend in London. When we arrived we were greeted by Nic who was super nice and showed us into our FAB apartment where there was a bottle of bubbles and a birthday card(WHERE WOULD YOU GET SERVICE LIKE THAT). Also a bowl of fresh fruit. After showing us around the two bedroom apartment we were brought outside to their tropical garden to meet Ben, another great host. We were given fresh eggs from the chickens for breakfast and advised of great places to eat.

The rooms very spotless and so snug. For the second night we had to move to another apartment but this was our fault due to a late booking. However they carried our very heavy bags upstairs while we went shopping and even unpackaged our shopping.....unreal!! The top apartment we were in was even nicer than the other which I thought was not possible.

This place made our trip so much nicer. Close to everything. It is top class.

What an amazing 4 day stay we had at this quaint and modern Bed and Breakfast.

We arrived after midnight on a Sunday night and Nick was waiting for us. He carried our 3 very large and heavy suitcases up to our room and made us feel very welcome even though it nearly gave him a hernia.

The rooms were large and airy and the beds were that soft and comfortable that we hit the pillow that night and didn’t wake up till 10am the next morning. Best sleep we have had all trip.

The apartment was equipped with everything we needed. Nick and Ben also provided a large and varied Breakfast hamper which was a welcome surprise. The B & B is situated close to Railway stations and shopping areas and Nick and Ben gave us great advice of how to navigate the Underground and what to see in London.

They also gave us the name of a great Private Taxi company that organized our transport from Gatwick to Griffin House and also to Heathrow. There prices were very reasonable.

We only stayed for 4 days and was sad to leave but will definitely be back at The Griffin House next time we are in London.
